The Graduate Program operates under Law 4957/2022. The authorities of the program are:

The General Assembly of the Department

The General Assembly is responsible for the organization, administration and management of the Graduate Program as follows:

a) Appoints Committees for the evaluation of the applications of prospective graduate students and approves the registration of the successful candidates

b) Assigns the teaching load to the instructors of the Program

c) Recommends to the Senate the amendment of the decision establishing the Program, as well as the extension of its duration

d) Appoints Examination Committees for the evaluation of the theses of the graduate students and assigns the advisor/supervisor for each thesis

e) Confirms the successful completion of the studies and proceeds with the award of the Diplomas

f) Approves the program reports, following the recommendation by the Coordinating Committee (C.C.)

By decision of the Assembly of the Department, the responsibilities of a) and d) may be transferred to the Board of the MSc.

The General Assembly can decide to transfer the responsibilities (a) and (d) above, to the Coordinating Committee of Graduate Program.

The Coordinating Committee has as members the Director of Graduate Program and four (4) faculty members of the Department, whose area of expertise is related to the field of study of the Program and at the same time are Instructors of the Program. The members of the C.C. are appointed by the General Assembly of the Department.

The Director of the Graduate Program

The Director of the Program presides over the C.C., is a faculty member of the Department at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor and is appointed by the General Assembly of the Department for a two-year term, with the possibility of renewal without limitation.
