ADMISSION PROCEDURE

Each academic year, the General Assembly of the Department publishes a Call for admission to the Graduate Program. The Call provides all necessary details for potential candidates including the deadline for the online application. Applications are usually submitted in two periods, namely in June and September. The number of admissions to the graduate Program is approximately 25 students per year (with the maximum limit being 50 per year). Candidates may be graduates of undergraduate programs of studies in Statistics and Insurance Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Informatics, Economics and Financial Sciences, Social Sciences, Business Organization and Administration, graduates of relevant undergraduate programs of domestic or overseas universities, as well as graduates of relevant undergraduate programs of Technological Educational Institutes (TEI), in accordance with the provisions of Article 5, Paragraph 12c of Law 2916/2001, Government Gazette 114a. Candidates may also be senior students of the above undergraduate programs of study, who by the end of the September examination period will have successfully completed their studies and will have presented the relevant certificate by the end of the Program’s selection process.

There are two criteria/options for the selection of graduate students for the Program. Each candidate chooses the option to be used for his/hers evaluation for admission.

Criterion A : Grades in undergraduate courses, diploma grade point average, interview, letters of recommendation.

Criterion B: Performance in exams, interview, letters of recommendation

A necessary condition for admission to the Graduate Program is the sufficient knowledge of the English language. Based on the above, each candidate receives an overall score on a scale of 0-100. After ranking the candidates according to their score, a specific number of candidates is proposed for admission to the Graduate Program.

Further details are provided in Article 4 of the Graduate Program Regulations.
