FULL TIME PROGRAM OF STUDY:

The minimum duration of studies in the Master’s Program (MSc) in “Applied Statistics” is three academic semesters.

  • The first semester includes five courses, of which two are compulsory (C) and the remaining three are elective (E).
  • The second semester includes four courses, with one being compulsory (C) and the other three elective (E).
  • The third semester includes two elective courses (E) and the completion of a Master’s Thesis (MT).

The compulsory courses and the elective courses of the winter semester correspond to six (6) European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) credits. The elective courses of the spring semester correspond to seven and a half (7.5) ECTS, while the Master’s Thesis corresponds to eighteen (18) ECTS. To obtain the Master’s Degree (MSc) in “Applied Statistics,” students must successfully complete eleven (11) courses, according to the distribution of courses over the three semesters, as well as complete a Master’s Thesis—amounting to a total of 90 ECTS (30 ECTS per semester).

Graduate students have the opportunity for further specialization by selecting specific tracks, which are optional. More specifically, depending on the elective courses chosen, students can specialize in the following areas:

Each specialization track consists of six elective courses (some courses are included in multiple tracks). To receive a certificate of completion for a specialization, a student must successfully pass at least four out of the six courses in that track. A certificate can be awarded for a maximum of two specialization tracks.
